Chatting With Sherri welcomes back the wonderful award-winning author;Katherine Kovacic!

We chatted about Seven Sisters; When Mia suggests that she join a support group, Naomi is sceptical: how could she begin to describe what it felt like to lose her sister, Jo? How could she possibly share her loss and rage to a room full of people? How could she express her helplessness that Jo's killer walks free on a suspended sentence?
And how could she share her deepest desire to see Jo's killer dead by her hand? In the group sessions, Naomi finds that her experiences and her anger are shared between the other members: Gabrielle, Brooke, Katy, Olivia and Amy. Under the enigmatic leadership of Mia, a plan begins to take shape.I'll kill yours if you kill mine ...Seven Sisters is a compelling, morally ambiguous psychological thriller where Patricia Highsmith meets Alex Michaelides.

We also chatted about her novel; Ms Fisher Murder Mysteries: Just Murdered; Peregrine Fisher is unexpectedly summoned to a meeting of the Adventuresses' Club of the Antipodes, where she learns some incredible news. When Adventuress Florence Astor is accused of murder, Peregrine jumps at the chance to help on the case. Detective James Steed, initially dismissive, quickly finds Peregrine's flair for investigating and headstrong nature leave him little choice. Based on the screenplay by Deb Cox.  'A splendid read, with an authentic 60s flavour.  I recommend it unreservedly.' - Kerry Greenwood

Chatting With Sherri welcomes back crime novelist, editor and President of the Detection Club; Martin Edwards!
This interview took place in last year but due to ill health on my part there have been delays in releasing my episodes.  The two events Martin talks of was in the fall of last year.  But the books are available to check out!
Martin Edwards has drawn on more than 30 years’ experience as a crime novelist. He is also an internationally acclaimed editor of crime anthologies for the British Library and other publishers. In addition to enjoying many years of success as a crime writer, he is the only person to have been elected to serve as Chair of the Crime Writers’ Association and President of the Detection Club at the same time. This experience gives him a special understanding of the challenges facing crime writers. Having combined his writing life with more than 30 years as a partner in a law firm, he is ideally equipped to encourage aspiring novelists to write while coping with a day job or other commitments.
The Life of Crime: Unravelling the Mysteries of Fiction’s Favourite Genre-In the first major history of crime fiction in fifty years, The Life of Crime: Detecting the History of Mysteries and their Creators traces the evolution of the genre from the eighteenth century to the present, offering brand-new perspective on the world’s most popular form of fiction.
Check out; from Martin Edwards; The House on Graveyard Lane-The woman in white—surreal artist Damaris Gethin—has invited a select group to the opening of her exhibit "Artist in Crime," held in the eerie subterranean Hades Gallery. As costumed models reenact famously violent deaths, the artist herself portrays Marie Antoinette on the day of her execution, complete with a guillotine on the stage. It's not a prop; within ten minutes of Rachel's promise to solve Damaris's future murder, the artist slips her neck into the collar of the device and the very real blade sends her head rolling at the feet of her horrified audience.

Chatting With Sherri welcomes back Author, Producer, Director; Gregg Openheimer!

Gregg Openheimer (Producer-Director), son of "I Love Lucy" creator-producer-head writer Jess Oppenheimer, got his start in comedy at the tender age of four when his father introduced him to Lucille Ball on the "I Love Lucy" set. Kneeling down, a smiling Lucy asked Gregg, "Where did you get those big brown eyes?" Gregg's deadpan reply: "They came with the face." Lucy nearly fell over laughing. In 1996, he left a successful law career in order to complete his late father's humorous memoir, "Laughs, Luck...and Lucy: How I Came to Create the Most Popular Sitcom of All Time" (Syracuse University Press). That book's success led Gregg's hit comedy play, "I Love Lucy: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Sitcom."  His latest project is SPERDVAC (The Society to Preserve & Encourage Radio Drama, Variety And Comedy) presents "Jack Benny Program" veterans Beverly Washburn, Stuffy Singer & Ivan Cury in Peg Lynch's comedy gem, "THE PRIVATE LIVES OF ETHEL & ALBERT" Written by Peg Lynch Produced and directed by Gregg Oppenheimer.
