Anyone can take part in choosing who will win The Chatty Award. Remember this is the last one, so if you want a show to win this is the last chance. It's very easy going, all you have to do is listen to the full shows, It will begin on Sept 10th, and you can listen to as many shows you like and as many times as you like. I get a spread out of rankings, and I will track it, I will let everyone know the top 10 about midway, then the listening time will end on Sept 30th. The winner will win a certificate. It is very pretty one. That's it.
I hope everyone takes part so you can have a say in who wins the last ever Chatty.

Chatting With Sherri Welcomes Writers of the Future Winner, Julie Frost!
She lives in Utah with her family, which consists of her husband, a herd of guinea pigs, and a "kitten" who thinks she's a warrior princess, along with a collection of anteater figurines and Oaxacan carvings, some of which intersect. When not writing, she enjoys birding and nature photography, which also intersect--and she photographed 500 bird species in the United States in 2023. When not traveling, she watches bad werewolf movies and good TV."Cry Havoc" was her 29th entry to Writers of the Future, which she hopes teaches everyone the value of psychotic persistence. Never give up, never surrender.

Chatting With Sherri welcomes back crime novelist, editor and President of the Detection Club; Martin Edwards!
This interview took place in last year but due to ill health on my part there have been delays in releasing my episodes. The two events Martin talks of was in the fall of last year. But the books are available to check out!
Martin Edwards has drawn on more than 30 years’ experience as a crime novelist. He is also an internationally acclaimed editor of crime anthologies for the British Library and other publishers. In addition to enjoying many years of success as a crime writer, he is the only person to have been elected to serve as Chair of the Crime Writers’ Association and President of the Detection Club at the same time. This experience gives him a special understanding of the challenges facing crime writers. Having combined his writing life with more than 30 years as a partner in a law firm, he is ideally equipped to encourage aspiring novelists to write while coping with a day job or other commitments.
The Life of Crime: Unravelling the Mysteries of Fiction’s Favourite Genre-In the first major history of crime fiction in fifty years, The Life of Crime: Detecting the History of Mysteries and their Creators traces the evolution of the genre from the eighteenth century to the present, offering brand-new perspective on the world’s most popular form of fiction.
Check out; from Martin Edwards; The House on Graveyard Lane-The woman in white—surreal artist Damaris Gethin—has invited a select group to the opening of her exhibit "Artist in Crime," held in the eerie subterranean Hades Gallery. As costumed models reenact famously violent deaths, the artist herself portrays Marie Antoinette on the day of her execution, complete with a guillotine on the stage. It's not a prop; within ten minutes of Rachel's promise to solve Damaris's future murder, the artist slips her neck into the collar of the device and the very real blade sends her head rolling at the feet of her horrified audience.
