Chatting With Sherri with author Eric Flint! Eric Flint is an American author, editor, and e-publisher. The majority of his works are alternate history, science fiction and humorous fantasy adventures. After winning the 1993 Writers of the Future contest and he published his first novel in 1997. Shortly afterwards, he became the first librarian of the Baen Free Library and a prominent anti-copy protection activist. In 2004, faced with a persistent drain on his time by fan-fiction authors seeking comment on his 1632 series, he suggested to Jim Baen the experimental serialized fan-fiction e-zine The Grantville Gazette. So far, eight volumes from the Gazette magazine have been published by Baen Books, in various formats. He is also the MC alongside Charles Gannon for the Annual Dragon Awards.
