Chatting With Sherri welcomes the host of "The Lonely Palette," Tamar Avishai!
When you hear the phrase “art history” you probably think dry.  Snooty.  Dusty.  A British accent on an audio guide waxing rhapsodic about the Ren-AYY-since over the strains of Vivaldi.  An intellectual velvet rope. You might never think about the human beings behind the artworks.  About the centuries of soulful human experience they depict.  About how artists lived through their moments, just as you live through yours.  About all the incredible stories there are to tell.
And that’s where The Lonely Palette comes in.  In each episode, creator and host Tamar Avishai focuses on one object – a painting, a sculpture, an installation, a very special urinal – and tells its story.  We explore the artwork, the movement, the social context, and more importantly, why art matters, not just to its own time, but to ours.
“Many find fine art intimidating, and so this show, by Boston’s own Tamar Avishai, is a lovely, accessible tour."

Chatting With Sherri welcomes back award-nominated author; Greg Hickey!
Our Dried Voices-In 2153, cancer was cured. In 2189, AIDS. And in 2235, the last members of the human race traveled to a far distant planet called Pearl to begin the next chapter of humanity. That novel was published in 2014 and was a finalist for Foreword Reviews’ INDIES Science Fiction Book of the Year Award.
The Friar's Lantern-An eccentric scientist tells you he can read your mind and offers to prove it in a high-stakes wager. A respected college professor exacts impassioned, heat-of-the-moment revenge on his wife’s killer—a week after her death—and you’re on the jury. Take a Turing test with a twist, discover how your future choices might influence the past, and try your luck at Three Card Monte. And while you weigh chance, superstition, destiny, intuition and logic in making your decisions, ask yourself: are you responsible for your actions at all? Choose wisely—if you can.
Greg Hickey was born in Evanston, Illinois in 1985. After graduating from Pomona College in 2008, he played and coached baseball in Sweden and South Africa. He is now a forensic scientist, endurance athlete and award-winning writer. He lives in Chicago with his wife, Lindsay.

Chatting With Sherri welcomes back extremely talented author Lynne Constantine!
The Senator's Wife; As D.C. philanthropist Sloane Chase returns to the world of White House dinners and political small talk, this time with her new husband, she's also preparing for an upcoming hip replacement—the latest reminder of the lupus diagnosis she's managed since her twenties. With both of their hectic schedules, they decide that hiring a home health aide will give Sloane the support and independence she needs post-surgery. And they find the perfect fit in Athena Karras.
Seemingly a godsend, Athena tends to Sloane, and even helps her run her charitable foundation. But Sloane slowly begins to deteriorate—a complication, Athena explains, of Sloane's lupus. As weeks go by, Sloane becomes sicker, and her uncertainty quickly turns to paranoia as she begins to suspect the worst. Why is Athena asking her so many probing questions about her foundation—about her past? And could Sloane be imagining the sultry looks between Athena and her new husband?

Chatting With Sherri welcomes artist of fantasy fine-art photography and digital art; Madolyn Locke!
Madolyn is an emerging artist working primarily in fantasy fine-art photography and digital art. Born and raised in Alabama, Madolyn has lived in Atlanta, Georgia long enough to consider herself a native. She received her first “real” camera from her uncle at the age of thirteen, but it wasn’t until many years later that she focused on her passion for the art form and decided to get serious about her work. Madolyn has been selected for several exhibitions in Atlanta and across the country, including becoming a fixture at the Dragon Con Art Show, where she won Best Photography in 2018 and Best Photography/Digital Art in 2019. Her work has been shown in New York’s Chelsea district and featured in several art shows in Canada. Madolyn’s inspiration is born from the belief that even in today’s world of confusion and chaos, there are still things of beauty that can fill our thoughts and dreams. Her work often explores the varying relationships between popular sci-fi/fantasy culture and fine art.
Madolyn's winning art, "The Widow's Might," an illustration created for Writers of the Future winner, Elizabeth Chatworth's story by the same name and is published in the anthology, L. Ron Hubbard Presents Writers of the Future Volume 37

Chatting With Sherri welcomes  illustrator, concept artist, maquette sculptor; Alexander Gustafson!

All of this eventually compelled him to seek out a career in fantasy illustration, where he has the freedom to create worlds and tell stories with pictures. He graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2008 with a master’s degree in illustration, and continues to pursue his passion for fantasy, sci-fi, and steampunk art.
