Chatting With Sherri welcomes Roger Q Mason!
Roger Q. Mason is a playwright and screenwriter whose work investigates the intersection of history, memory, and identity. His play The White Dress was semi-finalist for the 2018 Bay Area Playwrights Festival and the inaugural Shonda Rhimes Emerging Playwright Award. Mason's short film Softer is based upon a play of the same title.

Breathe., produced and directed by Roger Q Mason and written and performed by Philicia Saunders, is a form of art activism fusing live performance, cinema, performance art and artistic swimming in a hybridized narrative that could only be born during these challenging, yet galvanizing times. With the recent political, racial, and global unrest occurring throughout 2020, Philicia wrote and stars in this one-woman live theater show based on her life-changing personal journey towards activism after a chance trip to a Civil Rights monument, and mentorship by a luminary of activism, Sweet Alice Harris - one of Watts, CA's most beloved community organizers. Relevant to what's happening today, Breathe. is sure to spark discussion and action among viewers everywhere. It's about taking action. As Philicia learned from Sweet Alice: "You can't just be silent and stand in one place."

McCaffrey (born as Todd Johnson) is an Irish American author of science fiction best known for continuing the Dragonriders of Pern series in collaboration with his mother Anne McCaffrey. The sale of some of his early short stories helped him log an impressive amount of airtime. This is a chance to open up the universe to reward people who are trying and striving and succeeding in creating great stories, to reward them with more than just a pat on the back to actually some monetary reward and some recognition and to give them a leg up into the world of a professional writer.” —Todd McCaffrey

Chatting With Sherri welcomes animal lover and author; Chuck Hawley!
Chuck Hawley is an award winning American Author of "children's books, that adults should read too." Chuck had written stories his whole life, but his writing career was set into motion one morning by finding a kitten that had been cruelly covered in glue and stuck to a road in Salem Oregon.
After the story of finding Sticky, (what the Kitten would end up being named...) went viral, he was suddenly given the platform to take his stories to a large audience. His first book about Sticky quickly won a 'Best Children's Book of 2018' award. Two more books quickly came along and the series can now be found in Libraries, Schools and homes in 16 countries around the world and that list of countries grows daily. Chuck says the goal in his writing is to "gently teach empathy, compassion, and to try and make the world a better place by opening the mind of the readers to a different point of view, that they maybe hadn't thought of". Chucks books teach many things, but when asked how he describes his books, he says "I write everybody books that hopefully make smiles".
