Chatting With Sherri welcomes author; Kiel C. Barnekov!
Kiel Barnekov, was born in 1951 in Washington D.C. His father was a federal government intelligence executive and captain in the U.S. Naval Reserve. His mother was a federal government employee at several agencies. His paternal ancestors were Swedish nobility who immigrated to the United States in 1840. His maternal ancestors immigrated from Ireland. Mr. Barnekov grew up in Northern Virginia and graduated from George Mason University. He is now living in Ormond Beach, Florida, having realized his long-time dream of living near the ocean.

Concurrently, Dr. Ansley Barnett, wife of Kristian Barnett, is leading the development of a cyborg body indistinguishable from a human body for DARPA. Soon after Kristian’s brain is removed and placed in stasis, he is approached by The Guardian.

Chatting With Sherri Welcomes back author; Mitzi Szereto!
Mitzi is an author and anthology editor whose books encompass true crime and crime fiction, gothic fiction, cozy mystery, satire, parody, horror, sci-fi/fantasy, paranormal romance, erotic fiction, and general fiction and non-fiction. Her novels, short stories and anthologies have been translated into several languages. She has appeared at major international literature festivals and taught creative writing around the world, including several universities in the United Kingdom. A story from her British crime anthology Getting Even: Revenge Stories received a Highly Commended from the Crime Writers Association’s Silver Dagger Awards. She has the added distinction of having the first anthology of erotica to include a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. Mitzi is the creator and presenter of the London-based web TV channel Mitzi TV, and also plays herself in the pseudo-documentary British film Lint: The Movie. Nicholas Diak is a pop culture scholar who specializes in Italian genre cinema, contemporary sword and sandal films, industrial music, 80s retroism, and H. P. Lovecraft studies. His first book, The New Peplum: Essays on Sword and Sandal Films and Television Programs Since the 1990s, was published in late 2017 while his second book, co-edited with Michele Brittany, Horror Literature from Gothic to Post-Modern: Critical Essays is slated to be published later this year.
He has contributed essays to a variety of websites and journals, along with chapters to the academic books James Bond and Popular Culture: Essays on the Influence of the Fictional Superspy, Horror in Space: Critical Essays on a Film Subgenre, Uncovering Stranger Things: Essays on Eighties Nostalgia, Cynicism and Innocence in the Series and a chapter in an upcoming untitled anthology on Westworld. Along with Michele Brittany, he is a co-creator and co-chair of the Ann Radcliffe Academic Conference which is part of the Horror Writers Association's yearly StokerCon event.
Aside from writing, Nicholas enjoys cooking, retrogaming, pinup and tiki culture, and is a contributor to the Exotica Moderne lifestyle magazine. Along with Michele, he lives in Orange, CA with two cats, Algernon and Cecily.
