Chatting With Sherri welcomes author; A L Walker!
A L Walker is an American writer who grew surrounded by animals and oil in West Texas. After moving to Arizona, where she still lives with her husband, children, she was a ballet teacher and financial writer for many years. After going independent, she now writes fiction while surrounded by parrots, guinea pigs, and other lovely things. Her stories span many genres and often include non-traditional characters. She has a soft spot for small YouTube gamers and Route 66. Her sister, HarleyCyn, is a well-known cosplayer.
What Happened In The Cove; although Bria had escaped from her abusive past, life in the States was still empty. She thought her horrible life would be finally over, by her own hands. This is a fairy tale that rejects the traditional tropes of masculine and feminine in favor of pure fantasy and escape for readers who are ultrasensitive to violence, upset, and reminders of traditional mores. Theirs is a story of healing from abuse, of finding new hope in strange places, of exploring their cultures and spirituality, and of reconciling their past with what they learn together.

But it was so personal and special I decided to do it on Sherri’s Playhouse. This next part takes place after the family has moved to NYC after they started to assimulate. And how my Grandma started working for some biggest stars in the theater.

Chatting With Sherri chats with cast of my tiny play called Dowry!
It was originally for an under 10 minute play writing contest. But it was so personal and special I decided to do it on Sherri’s Playhouse. It is a very short re-imagining of the founding of my family in the US. It was a very personal project and so I am very interested in chatting with my cast about bringing it to life. We chat both plays and their parts in it.

Chatting With Sherri welcomes author; Crystal Westman!
Crystal Westman herself calls the; "Intoxicated Witch," “a modern epic” comparing Flora’s long drug induced walk to an odyssey. Only this time it’s a female lead, and an edgy one at that. Flora is a modern day witch, comparable to characters such as Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Piper Phoebe and Prew from Charmed, yet the major difference is that she isn’t rich, or a teenager, or anything remotely similar to her counterparts. She is an addict. She isn’t out there fighting supernatural forces as you’d find in other witchy reads. Instead she’s battling her own demons, fighting multiple addictions and serious depression. This is a meta-masterpiece to be championed.
“A book destined to be the next big thing in millennial pop culture, a voice longing to be heard.”
“A soul-stirring odyssey into the depths of recovery”

Chatting With Sherri welcomes Writers of the Future winner; Carrie Callahan!
Carrie is a Writers of the Future winner for Writers of the Future Volume 35 and her winning story, "Dirt Road Magic!
Though a lifelong writer, Carrie Callahan has only recently found her voice with what she calls Dirt Spec—a style that mixes gritty realism with speculative elements. Dirt Spec comes from her experiences growing up sub-working-class and not seeing herself reflected in the shiny prose of high-gloss fiction. Writers of the Future is Carrie’s first professional sale, and only the beginning of her exploration of SF through a dirty lens.
When she isn’t writing about imaginary worlds (or teaching others how to), Carrie can be found exploring the digital worlds of virtual reality in VRChat. She lives with her patient husband and adorable dog in the hills of bourbon country, Kentucky.
