Chatting With Sherri welcomes back author L.J. Hachmeister!
Author L.J. Hachmeister writes and fights—though she tries to avoid doing them at the same time. After winning the WEKAF world championship in double-stick fighting and achieving a second black belt in Doce Pares Eskrima, L.J. decided to take a new approach to world domination and focus on her literary career. With a head full of intergalactic battles, strong female protagonists, and demonic forces bent on breaking out hell, she created the universe and series, Triorion. After the success of the first four books in the Triorion series, L.J. penned the parallel novel series, Shadowless, which takes place in the same universe, but features new characters, settings, and a terrible evil that threatens to consume the entire world.

Alex Shvartsman is a writer, translator, and anthologist from Brooklyn, NY. Over 100 of his short stories have appeared in Nature, Analog, Strange Horizons, InterGalactic Medicine Show, and many other magazines and anthologies. He won the 2014 WSFA Small Press Award for Short Fiction and was a two-time finalist for the Canopus Award for Excellence in Interstellar Fiction (2015 and 2017). He is the editor of the Unidentified Funny Objects annual anthology series of humorous SF/F, and of Future Science Fiction Digest. Chatting With Sherri welcomes back John Alsedek and Dana Perry-Haye of Suspense!
The original SUSPENSE Featured a virtual who’s-who of Hollywood royalty, SUSPENSE ran for an unprecedented 20 years and 900-plus episodes before finally going off the air on September 30th, 1962- a date that is widely considered the end of radio’s ‘Golden Age’. Fifty years later, John C. Alsedek and Dana Perry-Hayes revived the series, with all-new stories and a style reminiscent of the original without being a copy. It has also been nominated three times for the Peabody Awards, as well as for the Parsec Awards, the Young Artists Awards, and the Young Entertainer Awards.
They recently recorded their 129th episode, which is just about halfway through our proposed 261-episode run. They have had a bunch of new guest stars, including Keston John, Tara Erickson, and Hana Wu. Our Soundcloud/iTunes podcast is creeping up on 2 million listeners. Currently averaging about 215k listeners a month. SUSPENSE was a finalist for 'Outstanding Podcast' in the 2018 Voice Arts Awards!

Jennifer Aldrich is a wearer of many hats, all of them stylish. She is an author, performer, and event planner. Jennifer is a board member of the Adventuresses' Club of the Americas and the local planning committee chair for the 2019 Miss Fisher Con in San Jose, CA.
The Adventuresses’ Club of the Americas (ACotA) is a 501(c)7 nonprofit that seeks to promote and encourage fellowship of the fans of Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries through social activities, by providing platforms for discussion, and by producing the annual Miss Fisher Con fan convention.
In the true spirit of our heroine, the Honorable Miss Phryne Fisher, the Adventuresses’ Club of the Americas is not an exclusive group of fangirls. We welcome all those who appreciate and celebrate the joy in all things related to this show, its era, and its actors. Joe Ochman is a well known and a respected voice actor; he has been heard in diverse roles all over the anime universe, in shows like Naruto, Marvel’s Blade, Transformers: Robots in Disguise, Digimon, Gundam Origins, JoJos Bizarre Adventure, Hunter x Hunter, Twin Star Exorcists, Duel Masters, Wolf’s Rain, Cowboy Bebop, Mon Colle Knights, Shinzo. In animated TV, Joe recurs as Mayor Billington on Disney Junior’s Doc McStuffins, and as Mayor Bourgeois on Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir. In animated film, he appeared in the Oscar-nominated Ernest & Celestine, the National Film Award winning Delhi Safari and the Annie and Cesar Award winning Zarafa. And voices on games such as; Kingdom Hearts 3, Red Dead Redemption and Life Is Strange!
On camera on TV, he guest starred on Disney Channel’s Best Friends Whenever, Bones on Fox, Showtime’s House of Lies and Weeds, and Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior for CBS. Joe recurred as a guest star on CSI and Sleeper Cell. He has shown up on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lois & Clark, Seinfeld, Will & Grace, House, West Wing, NYPD Blue, Desperate Housewives, That’s My Bush and many others. In film, he has worked on The Purge:Anarchy, Never Been Kissed, Space Jam, Officer Down and a bunch of indie films: Saving Lincoln, House of the Rising Sun, Black And Blue, Dead Game and Donald And Dot Clock Found Dead In Their Home, among others.

Sarah Read is an author, editor, and librarian living in the frozen north of Wisconsin with her husband, two sons, a cat, and thousands of spiders. Her novel The Bone Weaver’s Orchard was released from Trepidatio Publishing in early 2019. A collection of her short stories, Out of Water, will be out in November 2019. Chatting With Sherri welcomes award winning composer, producer, educator, and host; David Raiklen!
David Raiklen is an American composer best known for the science fiction series Space Command and for the Emmy winning Mia, A Dancer’s Journey.
David was mentored by Oscar winner John Williams and Pulitzer Prize winner Mel Powel. Dr. Raiklen studied at USC, UCLA, and CalArts and later taught at those universities. He has worked for the major studios including Sony, Fox, Disney, Sprint, Mattel, Warner Bros and PBS, plus many independent productions. His projects have starred Elliott Gould, Doug Jones, Blythe Danner, and Martin Sheen. David made the New York Film Critics Top Ten with the documentary Heist, the short list for an Academy Award® for Worth, and Mia, A Dancer's Journey won the Emmy. An oratorio for the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial titled Discovery, a mixed reality giant projection event for the Center Theater Group’s 50th anniversary, episodes of Star Trek Continues, and a violin concerto for festival darling Worth.
David Raiklen compositions have been performed at the Hollywood Bowl and Disney Hall. He was also host of a successful radio program, Classical Fan Club, where guests include Yo-Yo Ma and John Williams; and was host and leader of The Academy of Scoring Arts seminars. David is currently producing and composing for Space Command, a series of epic adventures set in a hopeful future, and producing Virtual Reality experiences.
