The Bone Weaver’s Orchard; When Charley follows his pet insects to a pool of blood behind a false wall, he could run and let those stones bury their secrets. Or he could walk the dark tunnels of the school’s heart, scour its abandoned passages, and pick at the scab of a family’s legacy of madness and murder.

Chatting With Sherri welcomes back author; Mitzi Szereto!
Ladies of Gothic Horror edited by Mitzi Szereto; Classic gothic horror stories from the literary mistresses of the past! Many of gothic horror’s spookiest tales have come from the pens of women. Yet a substantial number of these women were overshadowed by their male contemporaries, especially with regard to the classics. Ladies of Gothic Horror (A Collection of Classic Stories) redresses this imbalance by bringing together a selection of gothic stories from the past written exclusively by women. Carefully edited and compiled by author and anthologist Mitzi Szereto, Ladies of Gothic Horror offers readers plenty of good old-fashioned chills and thrills. Whether you’re a devotee of the genre, a literature lover, an academic or a student, this volume of short fiction is sure to please. The biographies accompanying each story will show that these women were anything but typical for their time. Includes seventeen stories from authors Mary Shelley, Elizabeth Gaskell, Edith Wharton, Marjorie Bowen, Gertrude Atherton, Virginia Woolf, Charlotte Perkins Gilman, Elia W. Peattie and many more.
Mitzi Szereto is an author and anthology editor of multi-genre fiction and non-fiction. She has her own blog of humorous essays at Errant Ramblings: Mitzi Szereto’s Weblog and the web TV channel Mitzi TV, which covers the “quirky” side of London, England.

Chatting With Sherri welcomes new writer; Andrew Dykstal!
Andrew will be coming to Hollywood for a week-long professional workshop, an awards event and his story will be published in our anthology, Writers and Illistrators of the Future Volume 35, which has been on the bestseller lists the past 4 years in a row. The contest is in its 35th year!
Andrew Dykstal lives in Arlington, Virginia, where he works as a technical editor. He’s been a lifelong consumer of stories, and tipped over from affection to obsession when a few of his college professors persuaded him to major in English alongside political science. Between then and now, he’s taught high school English and humanities (with a weird jaunt into orbital mechanics), earned an MA in English from the University of Virginia, and inflicted countless half-formed short stories, novels, and poems upon a circle of dear and long-suffering friends, without whom he’d have finished going mad years ago. This is his second fiction sale; his flash story “Clockwork” is forthcoming in Daily Science Fiction.
