Chatting With Sherri welcomes back photographer; Ian L Sitren!
For many years you have seen my photography featured in much of the fitness industry from magazines to online resources. My photography features, competition coverage and advertising have been a mainstay in such well known places as Iron Man Magazine, Planet Muscle Magazine and Bodybuilding.com. My advertising work has been seen everywhere from the magazines to major newspapers, wrapping city buses and billboards. All around the world in many languages.
Creative paths and opportunities have also sent me in many directions including motion picture still photography. That afforded me one of the highlights of my life, working with Hollywood luminaries Gena Rowlands and Rita Moreno on the motion picture “Six Dance Lessons In Six Weeks”. The Director of Photography was the very respected and esteemed Vilmos Zsigmond, said to be the greatest Cinematographer who has ever lived. Not yet done with directions, I am the photographer for the Palm Springs Air Museum. CNN lists it as one of the best Air Museums in the world. It is also a rarity because it is a flying museum. As a little boy I used to build military aircraft models and hang them from the ceiling in my room. Now my photography hast taken me full circle again. I also manage the Air Museum social media so I have great latitude in creating content, photos and video.

Her careers are as varied as; acting (recipient of Dramalogue’s best actress award), magician’s assistant for one of magic’s most prestigious illusion acts, children’s entertainer, producer and currently, “Dances with Films” which has introduced such spectacular talent as Oscar Nominated John Hawkes & Jesse Eisenberg, Ellen Pompeo (Gray’s Anatomy), Showrunners, Mark V. Chatting With Sherri welcomes back fine artist; Sasha T. !
"I am often asked how I go about painting on metal. It always starts the same way. I purchase stainless steel panels from my local metal supply company, and then have the sheets cut down to my desired size. I then distress the metal by using a grinder and a sanding pad. Not only does that technique create a surface for the paint to stick onto, but also allows the light to play off the metal once the painting is complete.
Considering that the metal is as much an integral part of my paintings, as is the oil paint - I make sure to leave as much of the metal showing through as I can. When light strikes the metal it creates the illusion of a 3D effect. As the viewer moves around the art it appears as if the reflecting light is dancing across the painting.
I primarily paint in my studio which is located in the historical Gaslamp Quarter in Down Town San Diego. My paintings are mostly a collage of ideas and images that I bring together to form a work of art. I use a thick oil medium that allows my brush strokes and colors to weave together seamlessly - much like water. The combination of all these factors give my paintings a dreamlike quality. My images are like a snapshot of time and place."

Chatting With Sherri welcomes NY Times Bestseller and 5-time Bram Stoker Award winner; Jonathan Maberry!
GLIMPSE; Rain Thomas is a mess. Seven years an addict and three difficult years clean. Racked by guilt for the baby she gave up for adoption when she was sixteen. Still grieving for the boy’s father who died in Iraq. Alone, discarded by her family, with only the damaged members of her narcotics anonymous meetings as friends. Them, and the voices in her head. One morning, on the way to a much-needed job interview, she borrows reading glasses to review her resume. There is a small crack in one lens and through that damaged slice of glass she sees a young boy go running down the aisle of the subway train.
V-WARS; A sweeping, threaded narrative of the global phenomenon known as the Vampire Wars! Mankind is silently infected by a millennia-old bacteria unknowingly exhumed by a scientific expedition in Antarctica. Now, in some rare cases, a person's so-called "junk DNA" becomes activated, and depending on their racial and ethnic heritage they begin to manifest one of the many diverse forms of the "others" that are the true basis for the legends of supernatural creatures.
DOGS OF WAR; Robots are no longer science fiction. Autonomous, programmed to react like animals: fast, relentless, deadly. From microscopic nanobots to massive self-guided aircraft. This technology is here, it’s assessable, and it’s dangerous. What’s even scarier is that almost anyone can get their hands on it. A freelance terrorist uses the latest generation of robot dogs to deliver WMDs into cities across America.
